Revenue-to-Budget Planning Tool for Google Ads
An interactive tool to work backward from a revenue goal through paid jobs, quote requests, clicks, and budget. The aim is to make the assumptions behind a proposed campaign clear enough to review with clients.

How the planning model works
Clients often ask: “How much should I spend on Google Ads?”The planner answers this by working backward:
- Revenue goal: Target revenue from the campaign.
- Paid jobs: Jobs needed based on average deal size.
- Quote requests: Inquiries needed based on close rate.
- Clicks & budget: Traffic and ad spend needed based on conversion rate and CPC.
With every assumption visible, specialists and clients can test how changing conversion rates or deal sizes impacts the required budget.
Engineering approach
The portfolio runs on Astro for static delivery. The calculator will run as an isolated React client component using TypeScript and Mantine on its own tool page.
Git hooks enforce Conventional Commits, linting, and type checks locally, while pull requests trigger automated Netlify CI checks and production builds.
Next steps
Implement the calculation model as a pure TypeScript module backed by unit tests, then build the React form interface and state handling. The calculator will appear on its dedicated tool page when ready.
